Alejandra Martinez

Clinical Director, DPT/Pilates Instructor

Dr. Alejandra Martinez received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University  and a B.S. in Nutrition from Hunter College. She began her education in rehabilitative medicine and preventative care through first earning a Massage Therapy certification with an emphasis on Myofascial Release in 2003. Alejandra is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Polestar Pilates/Pilates Method Alliance Practitioner (NCPT)  focusing on Pilates-based rehab and exercise prescription. She is currently pursuing an Orthopedic Manual Therapy certification (COMT) through NAIOMT and is continuing her coursework in Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation.

With over 15 years of experience in Manual Therapy and her integrated specialties, Alejandra has learned to utilize her hands to facilitate healing in her patients and offer an alternative for pain management.  She has a specialized interest in the diagnosis and treatment of spine and disc related pathology and preventative medicine. Alejandra is dedicated to providing individualized, high quality and integrative care for each patient while empowering them to participate in their healing.
