Dr. Melanie Grenald is a dedicated and detail-oriented Physical Therapist whose passion for the wellbeing of others has led her to promote a culture that fosters holistic wellness. Melanie received her Bachelors of Arts in Biology and Sociology from Hunter College in 2012, and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University in 2016. She treats not only the obvious impairments, but looks at the whole body as an integrated system and targets the root of the problem. Melanie has taken advanced education training in functional manual therapy and orthopedics through the Institute of Physical Arts and holds certifications in Pilates for Rehabilitation via Polestar Pilates and the Pilates Method Alliance, strength and conditioning through the NSCA, and craniosacral therapy through the Upledger Institute. In addition to treating adults, Melanie treats children for a multitude of conditions including pediatric and adolescent orthopedic injuries, balance and coordination disorders, genetic syndromes and is currently working towards her national pediatric certification through the NDTA. Melanie strives to provide highly individualized and evidenced-based treatments for her patients. She believes that patient empowerment and education are paramount to achieving greater health, wellness, and the prevention of injury in the future.
