Karine Grajales
Karine Grajales, DPT received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 2011. Karine’s athletic background as a dancer and personal trainer is what fueled her to pursue a career that focuses on the recovery process of athletic injuries. Karine combines her passion for dance and fitness with healing. Her interest in physical therapy began, when as a personal trainer, she encountered limitations with her clients who had suffered injuries. She then returned to school in order to be able to not only help her clients achieve their personal fitness goals, but also to help them rehabilitate and stay active during their healing process. Her motto in life is “movement is medicine.”
Karine has worked in various outpatient settings in her career and has treated numerous conditions Including: pre/post operative rehab, repetitive stress injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, permanent physical disabilities and gait imbalance issues. More than focusing on isolated injuries Karine’s approach to rehabilitation is helping her patients understand their movement patterns and how it affects their injuries. Karine enjoys educating and connecting with her patients and giving each one individualized care. When not working Karine enjoys outdoor cycling, weightlifting and traveling.
