
Amanda Smith
Amanda is a Pilates Instructor with a strong foundation in exercise science. With a background in dance, she brings a unique awareness of body alignment and movement quality into her sessions at Stroma. Amanda completed a 450-hour fully classical comprehensive Pilates certification through Equinox, training across all apparatus including mat, reformer, wunda chair, and ladder barrel.
She discovered Pilates while managing lower back pain from workout classes and daily life. Through the practice, she found improved alignment, strength, and a deeper full-body connection—benefits she now strives to share with her clients.
Originally from Savannah, Georgia, Amanda has lived in New York for the past nine years, where she has continued to study dance and movement. Outside the studio, she enjoys exploring new restaurants in the city, spending time with her two cats, and connecting with friends
